COURSE STRUCTURE (4 MONTHS)

  • It covers the syllabus of C.T (D.EL.ED) & B.ED.(SCIENCE & ARTS) Entrance Exams.
  • 4 Months Theory Class and Topic Test.
  • 4 Month Theory Class and or Exclusive Practice Session of 3 days in a week.

D.El.Ed Odisha CT Entrance Syllabus & Course Contents :-

Section – I 40 Marks
It consists of four aspects covering Language (English), Reasoning, General Awareness and Teaching Aptitude. This section is compulsory for all the candidates. Each aspect in this section shall have the weightage of 10 marks and there would be ten questions in each aspect carrying one mark each.

A broad guideline for each aspect is detailed below.

  1. Language (English): this would include comprehension, Vocabulary and Usage.
  2. Reasoning: It would cover logical and analytical reasoning.
  3. General Awareness: This would include everyday science, Political system and happening, general information, Educational Commissions & Committees, New Educational Initiatives, Educational Organizations.
  4. Teaching Aptitude: This aspect should cover application of common sense in handling Educational Contexts, Classroom Situations, Learner and Learning Problems, Purpose of Education, Role of other agencies in school management and teaching learning strategies.

 

Section – II 60 marks 

Odia/Telugu/Urdu/Olchiki 15 Marks 

  1. Dhwani and Sabda
  2. Parts of speech (Noun, Adjective, verb)
  3. Derivation of words
  4. Formation of words (Using prefix and suffix)
  5. Idioms

Synonyms and Antonyms Mathematics 15 Marks 

  1. HCF and LCM
  2. Square and square root
  3. Percentage and its application (profit and loss, simple and compound interest)
  4. Ratio and Proportion
  5. Algebraic simple equation and its solution
  6. Set- its elements, operations on set
  7. Geometry of Triangles, quadrilaterals and circles
  8. Basic Geometrical Concept

Social Science 15 Marks 

  1. Stone age, Vedic age, medieval age
  2. Stages of freedom movement in India
  3. Indian Constitution- features
  4. Governance system in India- local self Government, State Government, Central Government
  5. Earth and its structure
  6. Latitde, longitude
  7. Climate and Atmosphere
  8. Relationship between Human and Natural Resources
  9. Conservation of Natural Resources and Environmental preservation and protection

Science 15 Marks 

  1. Different states and characteristics of matter
  2. Chemical reaction
  3. Force, energy and motion
  4. Plant cells and animal cells
  5. Structure and adaption in plants
  6. Micro organisms

B.Ed Entrance Exam Syllabus:-

Odsha B.Ed Entrance Question has two sections, that is Section-I and Section-II.

In section-I, 50 questions will be asked from Language (English), General Awareness, Reasoning and Teaching Aptitude subjects.

         Section II, is a optional subject. A candidates with Science background has to choose any two subjects from among Mathematics, Physical Science, Bio-Science and Geography. Candidates with Arts background has to choose any two subjects from among Mathematics, History and Political Science, Geography, English, Odia. In section-II, 50 questions will be asked from each paper. That is total 100 questions. Subject wise mark distribution is mentioned below.

  1. 150 Multiple Choice Questions will be asked
  2. Full Mark of The Exam is 150 Marks.
  3. 1 Mark for Each CORRECT answer and -0.25 Mark for Each WRONG Answer.
  4. Time Duration Is 2:30 Hour.

Section I :  (Compulsory for all candidates)   Full Marks : 50 

1. General English  :  10 Qns : 10 Mark

2. Education and General Awareness : 10 Qns : 10 Mark

3. Reasoning  : 10 Qns : 10 Mark

4. Teaching Aptitude   : 20 Qns : 20 Mark

 

Section – II : Full Marks : 100 

Set – A (Arts Stream)

1.General English : 25 Qns : 25 Mark

2.Odia  : 25 Qns : 25 Mark

3.History and Political Science :  30 Qns : 30 Marks

4.Geography : 20 Qns : 20 Marks

 

Set – B (Science Stream)

1.Physical Science : 35Qns   : 35 Marks

2.Bio-Science : 35 Qns : 35 Marks

3.Mathematics : 30 Qns : 30 Marks

TE & SCERT, Odisha B.Ed Exam Syllabus & Course Content:

Section I 

It is compulsory for all the candidates. It would consist of Language (English), General Awareness, Reasoning and Teaching Aptitude. This Section shall be of 50 marks. There will be 50 questions. Each question carries one (01) mark. Question shall be multiple choice type.

  • Socio-religious Movements in 19th Century
  • India’s struggle for freedom
  • French Revolution, 1st World War and 2nd World War
  • Salient features of Indian constitution and Fundamental Rights
  • Functions of Legislative Assembly, Parliament, High Court and Supreme Court

Geography : 

  • Latitude and Longitude
  • Physical division of India
  • Natural Resources
  • Social and economic resources
  • Conservation of forest and wild life
  • Set B (Science Stream) : Physical Science, Bio-Science, Mathematics

Physical Science : 

  • Atomic structure – Atoms and molecules, classification of elements
  • Chemical reactions and equations
  • Motion – Laws of motion, concept of work, energy pressure and their measurement  Electricity and magnetism: – Electric Circuit, Potential difference, magnetic Field, lines of force, electro-magnetic induction
  • Heat, Light and Sound

Mathematics : 

  • Number System, Ratio and Proportion
  • Set theory, relations and functions
  • Linear, Simultaneous and quadratic equations, polynomials
  • Theory of Indices, Logarithm and Antilogarithm
  • Trigonometric Ratios and Indices, Problems on height and distance
  • Basic Geometrical Concepts and Geometry of plane figures

Biological Science : 

  • Cell : Structure, Components and Functions
  • Diversities in plants and animals
  • Natural resources
  • Environment – Eco-system, flow of energy, Bio-Geo Chemical cycle in nature, environmental degradation and pollution
  • Basic Physiological function in plants and animals : Nutrition, Respiration, Excretion and Reproduction

CLASS & PRACTICE

  • weekly 6 days class of 2 hours daily and the class timings are in between 8:00-10:00 AM, 10:00-12:00 N, 3:00-5:00 PM .
  • Technical special Classes of 2 hours Daily.
  • Fundamental concepts / logical approach / short-cuts wherever possible and exam model questions will be discussed on each topic of the syllabus.
