Indo-US-Japan Naval Exercise Starts in Western Pacific Coast 

 
India, the US and Japan have started the MALABAR-16 naval exercise off the Western Pacific coast, close to the disputed South China sea. Japan was included in the exercise as a permanent member in 2015, making the erstwhile Indo-US exercise a trilateral one. China, reacting to this, had earlier warned that Japan should not "heighten tensions" in the region.

Prime Minister of Thailand, Prayuth Chan-ocha, arrived in New Delhi for a three-day visit aimed at reviewing bilateral relations.
